I like the exuberance of Hungarian Embroidery, and how many variations you can get from some simple shapes.
I first digitized the pomegranate outlines, then started stitching with 8 colours of the Madeira Lana thread. Each flower has every colour in it and no two are the same. This will be the start of something more.
The stitches used are chain stitch, split stitch, French knots, satin stitch, seed stitch and what I am calling bauble stitch for the top of the pomegranates.
