A Biscornu is a small ornamental pincushion. It has 8 sides and is usually secured in the centre of the top and the bottom, to give a small depression. The word itself comes from the French, meaning something that has an irregular form, with projections.
I have just re-worked the design in our Strand yarn. The pattern will give 3 different thread options.
