Stitch a Still Life Class

Create a still life of Vase with three dimensional flowers of about 40cm square.

The background will be made up of different linen fabrics with Kantha stitching. This is an opportunity to use a range of different fabrics such as silk, velvet, linen, and other small pieces of special fabrics for the flowers and the vase. The effects of different textures to create a unique look will be demonstrate

You will also learn some simple embroidery stitches.

Each student should finish with a unique panel. Different finishing options – e.g. wall panel or cushions will be discussed in the class.

For beginners – experienced stitchers (anyone who can thread a needle and would like to design their own piece of art).

Fat quarters of linen / cotton and patchwork fabrics will be available to buy in class ($7 each). You will also have access to a variety of yarns and threads to try.
