Archeys Frog Kit – SPECIAL
Archey’s Frog is native to New Zealand and is found in a small area near Coromandel in the North Island. Native frogs are quite different to introduced species – they have no external eardrum, no webbing between their toes and the pupil of each eye is circular rather than a slit. The male of this species of frog raises the young. The Maori name for frog is Pepeke.

Green and Gold Bell Frog Kit – SPECIAL
This frog species was introduced to New Zealand from Australia around 1870 and is now found in the northern half of the North Island. It is semi-aquatic and lives around ponds and streams. The Maori name for frog is Pepeke.

Paddy the Wanderer Kit – SPECIAL
Paddy was a ginger and brown Airedale terrier who became a waterfront identity in Wellington in the 1930s. As a familiar sight on the waterfront he was cared for by the watersiders, harbour board workers, seamen and taxi drivers; all of whom contributed towards his annual dog licence
A memorial drinking fountain that included two drinking bowls for dogs was erected in Paddy’s honour in 1945 at the Queen’s Wharf gates.

The wētā are some of New Zealands's most iconic insects. Wētā is the Māori name for a group of large, spiny, wingless grasshopper-like insects.
