Archey’s Frog is native to New Zealand and is found in a small area near Coromandel in the North Island. Native frogs are quite different to introduced species – they have no external eardrum, no webbing between their toes and the pupil of each eye is circular rather than a slit. The male of this species of frog raises the young. The Maori name for frog is Pepeke.

Kākahu, Monarch Butterfly Needlepoint Kit

Pepe Para Riki, Coastal Copper Needlepoint Postcard Kit

The Coastal Copper (Lycaena salustius) is a small butterfly up to 33 mm of the Lycaenidae family.
It is found only in New Zealand. They are common in mid-summer in warm open places and are attracted to blackberry flowers.
Markings are very variable, especially the female.
