One in a series of mini quilts exploring the Juxtaposition between men’s woolen suiting and light floral Liberty lawn.
As a child, I loved finding this weed called Shepherds Purse because of the heart shaped seed pods. I now ask the question how many shepherds would you see carrying a heart shaped purse?
Slow stitching – letting the fabric and thread lead the way.
Applique, reverse applique and embroidery.
Finished as a mini quilt mounted with buttons on a book cover. Hanging wire also attached with buttons.
