Two in the Bush Embroidery Kit
Designed by Mary Self
A highlight of a recent trip to England was a visit to Blackwell House in the Lake District that had been designed by the architect Mackay Hugh Baillie Scott (1865 – 1945). The key design theme at Blackwell house was the Rowan Tree with the leaves and berries executed in carved wood, plaster work and textiles.
This design is based on an embroidered screen that is held in the Victoria and Albert Museum.
The outlines are stitched for you to embroider and embellish as you wish. Our sample uses the enclosed scan of the outlines for you to use as patterns for applique, either with felt as in the sample or material. Wool felt and Strand yarn is included in the Full Kit.
